FRAME OPTIONS
The frame options on this page are standard "Museum" style wooden frames. These Italian frames are simple, elegant and timeless and can fit with virtually any decor. However, as can be seen in the Gallery "ART ON WALLS", we frame our prints with a variety of custom frames depending on your preference and style.
As explained in the Print Options page, we are currently offering the exciting mounting option known as “Acrylic Facemounting”. This modern high-tech look features a metallic print face-mounted behind a piece of clear optically pure acrylic (Plexiglas) sheet. It is then backed with a high-grade piece of aluminum composite known as Dibond. So the print is forever protected as it is sandwiched between the plexi and Dibond materials.
The look must be seen to be fully appreciated! Light refracts through the acrylic from all sides giving the
metallic print an almost 3D effect.
Unframed prints are shipped flat, unmounted and protected with heavy board inside a 200lb test Jumbo Mailer for added protection. Our prints are never rolled into a tube, as this practice inevitably kinks the print when pulled out of the tube.
Our framed prints include museum Rag (100% cotton fiber) acid-free matting (your option, as some people prefer flush prints - no matting so the print fits edge-to-edge on the frame), Optically pure clear acrylic glazing, backing and hardware, and are ready to hang. These are typically packaged in heavy-duty deluxe artwork shippers. The artwork floats between thick, soft foam pillows and is shipped by UPS Ground. Canvas giclee prints normally do not have glazing as the texture of the canvas is important to the visual aesthetics of the artwork.
Note that the framed print prices listed on the PRICES menu are quoted with the #9951... series frame, available in 5 colors. For the #9861… series frame add 10% to the total price. For the #9871… series frame add 15% to the total price and for the #3395 frame add 18% to the total price.
